James & Ginger Black of Seaford – 1994 White
Coupe Club Sponsor Comments: Not present. Old / On-going Business: A. ESCC June Car Show Overall, there was a very good turn-out on the Corvette side, but not a large showing on the GM side. Jim Revelle noted a special thanks to all who helped out and to Gale D for all of her hard work. Walmart was very impressed with our turn-out and has issued a $1,000.00 check to our charity, Women Supporting Women. WOW! For the 50/50, half went to the Corvette side and the other half to the GM side. Our DJ, Arlene Gibson, did a wonderful job for us. (We’ll have to keep her # handy!) A few suggestions for next time: 1. Sam Adkins – suggested that some of the larger door prize donations be saved and offered at silent auction. 2. Gale Daugherty – we had way too many dash plaques left over. We need to limit dash plaques to the first so many who register. 3. Need to start planning for next year NOW. B. FIRST STATE Car Show – Dover Mall, Approx 60 cars – good member turn- out, great weather. Our own Deb Stavely won the tire raffle. New Business: Car of the Month – June’s Car of the Month goes to Jim & Debbie Fields of Salisbury – they have a 1988 red coupe. Congratulations! Look for this feature on the web in the near future! Also, any fall cruise ideas? Let us know!

Although this seems like a simple and mindless task, a thank-you was received that made this simple gesture HUGE. “Dearest Friends of the Eastern Shore Corvette Club, Thank you so much for the beautiful dish garden you sent acknowledging our recent loss. It is people like you who help to make a difficult time easier. You are all a great bunch of people and we are very proud to be a part of this fine group. Your kindness will long be remembered, and we pray the very best for each of you. Making a difference in the lives of others is what this world is all about. Thank you for making a difference!” WOW!!!!! Makes you feel great, doesn’t it? |
