Called to order. Approval of minutes: Motion made and carried to accept minutes from September. Treasurer’s Report: Ending balance $5,247.78. NCM Ambassadors Report: There will be a caravan to Bowling Green on Labor Day weekend celebrating the NCM’s 15^th year anniversary. There will possibly be a cruise to NCM & Nashville. Web Master Comments: Not present. No Report. Applications: Two new applicants: Bill Helms of Berlin & Tony and Maureen Spine of Selbyville. Welcome ! Club Sponsor Comments: Ray Lanier spoke of our show in September and was very happy with the turnout. Ig Burton’s newsletter highlighted our show and club and mentioned our presentation of an appreciation plaque to Charlie. Burton’s has been referring people to our club and wondered if we were getting their information or not. Old Business: Tents have been purchased and silk screening will be done for (3) tents, per Gerald Beauchamp. Harper’s Ferry – Gail Daugherty is in the process of finding lodging in the area for our cruise in late September/October of next year. New Business: Bill for insurance is due per Bob Kambarn. Motion made and carried to pay bill. Holiday Dinner location was discussed and determined to be at the Delmar VFW. Gail Daugherty will work with Ron McGinnis on menu and details. We need a headcount. Sam Adkins – Disabled American Veterans would like to do a car show and assist with us. Sam will look into and keep us updated. Corvette Show vs. Open Car Show – discussed – let us know what you think ! Ray Lanier – Possibility of all GM and Corvette Show. He discussed the many possibilities of how the next show could be done by Burton’s and ESCC. THANK YOU to the Bradshaw’s for hosting our election meeting last month. Past Activities: Seaford VFW Car Show – Sunday Oct 1^st (Rain date 8^th) – Sam Adkins disappointed with Corvette turnout, but Vettes did outnumber the Mustangs. Upcoming Activities: Federalsburg VFW Car Show – Saturday Oct 22^nd . Please try to attend Corvettes on the Boardwalk – Ocean City, Sat Oct 14^th Scavenger Hunt – Sunday, October 15^th – Cancelled due to illness Smithfield, NJ Corvette Show – Sunday, Oct 15^th Holiday Dinner – December 9^th, Delmar VFW Cruise to Southern Caribbean – Feb 10-17, 2007. (Sandy Thawley) Next Meeting: Thursday, November 9^th , 2006 at Delmar VFW (near Old Mill Crab House) Dinner at 6:00, Meeting at 7:00. Dinner will consist of: Turkey, Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable, Coffee, Tea, and Dessert. Cost will be $10 per person. Meeting adjourned at around 8:00. WE HAD A 50/50 DRAWING – CONGRATULATIONS TO LINDA BERRY FOR TAKING HOME $48 !!
