Club Sponsor News - IG Burton of Seaford, has a new Sales Manager – Ben will be taking over as Ray has been re-assigned. Our 10/20/07 Cruise-In will be held, as planned. Discussion held to award Ray a plaque in appreciation of all he has done to promote and support our club. Women Supporting Women donation from June Show will be presented at the event, as well.
Holiday plans – Gale Daugherty suggested postponing the Christmas event, as everyone struggles to fit everything in. Decision made to hold our dinner on 1/5/08 at the Delmar VFW. Ronnie McGinnis confirmed he has us on the schedule for that night.
Gerald Beauchamp introduced guest speaker Shawn Sullivan with Performance Friction Brakes. Thank you for an informative presentation.
John Buchanan questioned notation in last meeting’s minutes regarding the charitable donation to an individual. As a founding member of the club, he re-iterated that the by-laws were intended to include only charitable organizations, not individuals, and that the process and vote were not handled correctly. This would, in effect, void the donation. This topic is tabled, per President Lee Chaney, pending appointment of a By-Law Committee to review the current documentation and amend as necessary.
This also brought a reminder that the floor (hand count) votes are to be (1) to a paid membership, not each attendee (in the case of husband/wife).

We’ve received an open invitation from member Don Clark, who is originally from Baltimore County. He’s offered a possible cruise/tour to include scenic northern Hartford County, Loch Raven & Pretty Boy Reservoirs, luncheon at Pearces Plantation and a drive down Falls Road. Interested??
